Bars are one of the most important parts of every stunt scooter. They affect stability, handling, and the overall feel of the ride, so choosing the right one is key.
Steel Bars – the most popular option due to great price / durability ratio. They are heavier but very sturdy.
Aluminum Bars – lighter than steel, suitable for lighter riders or a clean riding style.
Titanium Bars – the lightest and strongest choice. Professional level with a higher price.
Bars differ in height and width.
Park riders prefer lower and narrower bars for easier technical tricks.
Street riders prefer taller and wider bars, which provide better stability during fast rides and slides.
Generally, the ideal height of the bars is around the rider's waist. If they are too high, they can be cut down.
When choosing, it's also important to pay attention to the diameter and type of compression system:
IHC and ICS – standard sizes, require a notch on the bars.
SCS – bars without a notch, very sturdy system.
HIC (Oversized) – wider diameter, require a notch on the bars, suitable for advanced riders.
T Bars – simpler and lighter construction, easier for performing some tricks.
Y Bars – traditionally sturdier, stylish shapes with Backsweep and Upsweep options.
Backsweep (curvature towards the rider) provides a more comfortable grip, while Zero backsweep or Upsweep are chosen by riders who prefer a more aggressive and technical style.
Do not overload the scooter and do not let it fall unnecessarily.
Use the correct compression system and clamp.
Choose bars that match your height, weight, and riding style.
Stunt scooters have a fixed bar height, so it is important to choose a model according to the rider's height.
The bars should be about 5 cm below the waist or slightly higher,
The rider should grip them comfortably, with arms extended and without slouching,
It is assumed that during riding, the knees are always slightly bent.
Too long bars can be shortened by cutting,
Too short need to be replaced with longer ones.
