Bars are one of the most important parts of every stunt scooter. They affect stability, maneuverability, and the overall feel of the ride, so their proper selection is crucial.
Steel bars – the most popular option thanks to a great price/durability ratio. They are heavier but very sturdy.
Aluminum bars – lighter than steel, suitable for lighter riders or a clean riding style.
Titanium bars – the lightest and strongest option. Professional level with a higher price.
Bars vary in height and width.
Park riders prefer lower and narrower bars for easier technical tricks.
Street riders prefer higher and wider bars, which provide better stability during fast riding and slides.
Generally, the ideal height of bars is around the rider's waist. If they are too high, they can be shortened.
When selecting, it’s important to also pay attention to the diameter and type of compression system:
IHC and ICS – standard sizes, require a notch on the bars.
SCS – bars without a notch, very strong system.
HIC (Oversized) – larger diameter, require a notch on the bars, suitable for advanced riders.
T bars – simpler and lighter construction, easier for performing some tricks.
Y bars – traditionally sturdier, stylish shapes with Backsweep and Upsweep options.
Backsweep (curvature towards the rider) offers a more comfortable grip, while Zero backsweep or Upsweep are chosen by riders who want a more aggressive and technical style.
Don’t overload the scooter and avoid unnecessary falls.
Use the correct compression system and clamp.
Choose bars that correspond to your height, weight, and riding style.
