Forks are one of the most important parts of a stunt scooter – they connect the bars, deck, wheels, and compression system. The riding characteristics and lifespan of the entire scooter depend on their strength and proper selection.
Aluminum forks – lightweight, strong, usually one-piece. Ideal for park and street, but more expensive.
Steel forks – cheaper and durable, mostly threaded and two-piece, heavier and less suitable for demanding tricks.
Threaded forks are mainly found on cheaper scooters for beginners. They are less sturdy and more prone to breaking, hard to adjust.
Threadless forks are sturdier and used with compression systems (HIC, IHC, ICS, SCS). This ensures stability and longer lifespan.
One-piece forks are milled from a single piece of aluminum, have no welds and are stronger.
Two-piece forks are often welded, more affordable, but less durable.
The offset determines the position of the wheel in relation to the fork axis:
Offset forks → smoother and more stable ride.
Zero offset forks → playful handling, suitable for street and technical tricks.
The standard is forks for 100–110 mm wheels with a width of 24 mm, some models also support 115–125 mm and a width of up to 30 mm. Therefore, always check compatibility with wheels when selecting.

Each fork is designed for a specific type of compression system:
SCS – shorter tube, high strength.
HIC – longer tube, popular with advanced riders.
IHC – lighter version of HIC for narrower bars.
ICS – simpler system, less common.
Don’t overload it and land cleanly.
Always have the compression system and wheels properly tightened.
Using pegs can protect the fork during grindings.
