Kendama is a traditional Japanese toy that has been spreading to most of the world in recent years. People of all generations can play with Kendama. The Kendama consists of a body (ken) and a ball (tama), connected by a sturdy nylon string. The body comprises three wooden cups (zara) placed on a wooden spike (saki). In the game, you try to catch the ball in one of the cups, on the spike, or sit the ball in various ways, of which there are over 30,000 methods. Kendama is a very fun toy that you can learn to play with very quickly, and it enhances motor skills, coordination, reflexes, balance, focus, and more. This toy stands out among many of today's board and electronic games, as Kendama does not require batteries! Kendama is becoming a sport and competitive discipline not only in Japan but also already in the Czech Republic.
