Description

Kendama is a traditional Japanese toy that has been spreading across much of the world in recent years. People of all generations can play with Kendama. The Kendama consists of a body (ken) and a ball (tama) connected by a strong nylon string. The body features three wooden cups (zara) situated on a wooden spike (saki). During the game, you try to catch the ball in one of the cups, on the spike, or to balance them in various ways, and there are over 30,000 possible ways to do this. Kendama is a very fun toy that you can learn to play with very quickly, and it strengthens motor skills, coordination, reflexes, balance, concentration, and more. This toy stands out above many of today’s board games and electronic games; Kendama doesn’t require batteries! Kendama is becoming a sport and a competitive discipline not only in Japan but also in the Czech Republic.
